Form 7 row puts Cong-NDA on collision course in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Oct 7 (UNI) The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has emerged as a major political flashpoint in Karnataka, with the ruling Congress and BJP-led NDA stepping up their confrontation over Form 7 applications, alleged voter deletions and the role of constitutional and law-enforcement agencies.
What began as a debate over electoral-roll revision has now evolved into a wider political battle, with both sides accusing each other of attempting to influence the electoral process ahead of the 2028 Assembly elections.
At the centre of the dispute are Form 7 applications, through which objections can be raised against names in electoral rolls or deletion of entries can be sought.
