Bengaluru, Oct 9 (UNI) Karnataka's political confrontation has intensified after Chief Minister DK Shivakumar alleged that an attempt was made to trap him in a sting operation shortly after he took charge, claiming that he possesses photographs and documents that could help identify those allegedly involved.
The allegation has triggered a fresh exchange between the ruling Congress and the BJP, with senior Congress leaders backing the Chief Minister and the BJP countering his claims by referring to an earlier controversy involving an alleged honey trap.
At the centre of the controversy is a crucial unanswered question: whether the material Shivakumar says he possesses has been submitted to the police, independently verified or made available for official scrutiny.
