TPCC demands seizure of pre-printed Form 7 applications during SIR

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) TPCC official spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Monday alleged that the BJP was attempting to misuse the Form 7 process during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demanded immediate seizure of all pre-printed and bulk-prepared voter deletion applications in Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Nizamuddin alleged that voter details had been accessed and organised family-wise to prepare Form 7 applications in advance.
He cited an instance from Musheerabad in which the names and electoral details of a Congress booth-level agent and more than 30 family members were allegedly pre-printed on forms, with only the objector’s name filled in by hand.
He claimed that similar forms had allegedly been prepared in Bahadurpura and Goshamahal and demanded that all such applications, including those yet to be submitted, be impounded, photographed and sealed for investigation.
Nizamuddin sought download logs and access details to determine how electoral-roll data was obtained, along with a probe into who printed, financed, transported and distributed the forms.
He also demanded verification of the identity of objectors and a field-level inquiry into every suspicious Form 7 application.
He said no voter should be deleted based on a pre-printed or bulk-prepared Form 7 until the elector is allowed to respond and a reasoned order is passed.
With the claims and objections process scheduled to close on October 7, he urged the Election Commission to act immediately and ensure that the final electoral roll is not affected by unauthorised or organised objections.
