‘Lotus eater Vijay govt’ in deep slumber should be taught a lesson: MK Stalin

Chennai, Oct 30 (UNI) Describing the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay as a ‘lotus eater in deep slumber’, principal opposition DMK president MK Stalin on Friday said the regime, hurtling down, needs a wake-up call and the slide must be arrested.
Ahead of Saturday’s state-wide protest by the party to highlight the deteriorating law and order situation, spiking crimes, insecurity of women and children and skyrocketing price rise, Stalin, in a hard-hitting video message, said, “The Chief Minister remains inaccessible to anyone, like sitting in a caravan during a film shoot. He neither speaks nor responds, leaving a few ministers to fend off criticism. Even they continue to parrot that the DMK is responsible for everything, forgetting that the TVK government is more than six months old.”
“No, the TVK need not protect women. Rather, the situation is that women have to be saved from the TVK,” he said, referring to many TVK functionaries involved in crimes against women and children.
