Southern Region police coordination meet in Hyderabad tomorrow to focus on cybercrime, narcotics, inter-state security

Hyderabad, Oct 22 (UNI) Top police brass from across southern states and union Territories will assemble here on Friday for the Regional Police Coordination Committee (RPCC) conference to formulate unified operational strategies against inter-state crime syndicates, illicit drug trafficking, and cyber fraud.
Telangana Director General of Police C V Anand on Thursday chaired a high-level preparatory meeting with senior officers ahead of the Regional Police Coordination Committee (RPCC) conference of the Southern Region.
The regional summit, hosted by the Telangana Police, will convene Directors General of Police (DGPs) and senior leadership from five southern states and three union Territories to deliberate on emerging internal security challenges and cross-border operational coordination.
Taking to social media platform 'X', Anand stated that the review focused on fine-tuning arrangements for the conference, which aims to bridge operational gaps, facilitate seamless intelligence sharing, and establish a responsive inter-state policing framework.
"The meeting will bring together DGPs and senior officers from five Southern States and three union Territories to deliberate on key policing and internal security challenges," Anand said, noting that the resolutions adopted during the conference will contribute directly to the upcoming 61st All India DGPs/IGPs Conference slated for Tirupati in December.
The DGP underscored the need for synchronized multi-state action to dismantle organized crime syndicates, curb narcotics trafficking, combat sophisticated cybercrimes, and tackle emerging law-and-order and internal security threats.
He highlighted that structured regional engagements are vital for adopting professional best practices, standardizing operational protocols, and building a more effective security apparatus across the southern states.
