Asian Games Golf: Saptak Talwar, Pranavi Urs lead India's strong opening

Aichi-Nagoya, Sept 30 (UNI) India made a solid start to the golf competition at the Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday, with Saptak Talwar firing a four-under 66 to sit tied third in the men's individual event, while Pranavi Urs emerged as the country's leading performer in the women's section.
Talwar, the current DP World PGTI Order of Merit leader, carded five birdies against a bogey at the Par-70 Kasugai Country Club East Course to finish three shots off the pace.
Chinese Taipei's Wei-hsuan Wang and Japan's Kazuki Higa shared the men's individual lead at five-under 65.
