Ranchi to host national track cycling championships from Oct 30

Ranchi, Oct 25 (UNI) Ranchi will host the 78th Senior, 55th Junior and 41st Sub-Junior National Track Cycling Championships at the Khelgaon Velodrome from October 30 to November 4, with more than 600 cyclists expected to participate.
The Jharkhand Cycling Association announced the schedule at a press conference and official mascot launch at the velodrome on Sunday.
Association general secretary Shailendra Kumar Pathak said cyclists from different states would participate in the championships, while more than 100 technical officials were expected to arrive in Ranchi.
He said arrangements for accommodation, food and practice facilities had been completed and described the Khelgaon velodrome as an international-standard track.
Association officials Ritesh Jha, technical official Satwinder Kaur, treasurer Ranveer Kumar and coach Ramkumar attended the press conference.
