Bihar fetches 36 medals, including 7 gold, at Khelo India Youth Games 2025

Patna, May 15 (UNI) Bihar has significantly upped its ranking from 28th position to 14th by winning a record 36 medals, a surge of 620 per cent in the medals race at Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2025.
On Bihar’s performance at the Khelo India Youth Games concluded on Thursday, with Bihar making its presence felt, Bihar State Sports Authority Director General Raveendran Sankaran said that the talented athletes created history and have given wings to their dreams with their performance.
Government’s sustained efforts to nurture, promote, incentivise sporting activities and sporting culture have started paying off rich dividends, as the state, he said it was the outcome of four years of hard work during which the Athletes were given training by specialised coaches in their fields. Even foreign coaches gave training to them training.
