Fluminense reaches Copa Libertadores semifinals

Buenos Aires, Sep 16 (UNI) Fluminense advanced to the Copa Libertadores semifinals despite
a 2-1 away defeat to Platense in their quarterfinal second leg.
The Brazilian club won 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-0 home win in last week's first leg at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana Stadium.
Guido Mainero and Bruno Sepulveda scored first-half goals for the hosts before Uruguayan midfielder Agustin Canobbio pulled a goal back just before the hour, according to Xinhua.
"Totally happy. It was a tough match in the first half, we couldn't find ourselves on the pitch," Canobbio said.
"Now it's time to the turn the page because we have some tough matches ahead of us. We want to take Fluminense as far as possible in the competition."
