ICC T20I rankings: Abhishek rises to No. 2 among batters, Bumrah jumps to 10th in bowling chart

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) Abhishek Sharma has moved up to second place in the latest ICC men’s T20I batting rankings after his match-winning 82 in India's series opener against Afghanistan.
The left-hander gained one spot to move ahead of Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan and now trails India team-mate Ishan Kishan, who continues to occupy the top position. Abhishek is 51 rating points behind Kishan.
Sanju Samson was another Indian batter to make significant progress in the rankings. His 57 in the second T20I, which India won by seven wickets to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, helped him climb four places to 30th.
India’s bowlers make notable gains.
Ruled out of the series due to a side strain, Varun Chakravarthy, who featured in the series opener, moved up two places to fifth, while Jasprit Bumrah made a seven-place jump to reach 10th. Arshdeep Singh was the biggest climber among the Indian bowlers, moving up 11 spots to 14th, while Axar Patel gained six places to reach 27th.
Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai moved two places to fifth in the T20I allrounders' rankings. Veteran Mohammad Nabi also climbed one spot to eighth.
England fast bowler Ollie Robinson has reached a career-best third position in the Test bowling rankings after an impressive series against Pakistan.
Robinson claimed 21 wickets in the three-Test series to make a significant jump in the rankings, while team-mate Josh Tongue also enjoyed a career-best position. Tongue, who picked up 19 wickets in the series, climbed two places to 11th.
Robinson's performances with the bat also helped him rise seven places to 13th in the Test allrounders' rankings after he scored a half-century in the third Test in Birmingham.
There was movement among the Test batters as well. Pakistan captain Babar Azam climbed two places to 13th, while Shan Masood moved up four spots to 37th. England wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith gained three places to reach 20th.
In the ODI rankings, Australia's Nathan Ellis made the biggest move among the bowlers, climbing 20 places to 20th after taking five wickets in the 59-run win over Zimbabwe in Harare.
Matthew Renshaw’s 109 in the same match lifted him from outside the top 100 to 68th among ODI batters. His Australia team-mate Cooper Connolly also moved up nine places to 77th after making 51.UNI TB AAB
