Second ODI: Campbell smashes fastest WI century at Barasapara

Guwahati, Sept 30 (UNI) West Indies opener John Campbell tore into India's bowling attack with a breathtaking 65-ball century before falling for 101, rewriting the record books and powering the visitors to a sensational start in the second ODI at Barsapara Stadium here on Wednesday.
Campbell raced to his fifty in just 29 balls, making it the fastest half-century by a West Indies batsman against India in ODIs, according to available ball-by-ball data.
He continued his assault to bring up his hundred in just 65 balls, becoming the fastest West Indies batsman to score an ODI century against India. Campbell surpassed Ricardo Powell's previous mark of a 72-ball hundred against India at Singapore in 1999.
