Shooting: Swapnil, Sarabjot lead India at ISSF World Cup in Cairo

Cairo, Oct 7 (UNI) Olympic medallists Swapnil Kusale and Sarabjot Singh will headline a 35-member Indian shooting contingent at the ISSF World Cup 2026 here in Egypt, starting from Thursday.
The Cairo meet is the fourth and final ISSF World Cup of the year for rifle and pistol shooters.
Medal events will be held from October 10 to 15 at the Egyptian International Olympic City Shooting Range, according to olympics.com.
Of the 35 Indian shooters entered in Cairo, 11 will compete exclusively for Ranking Points Only (RPO). India will field a completely different rifle and pistol contingent from the one that competed at the recently concluded Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya.

The change in personnel is in line with the National Rifle Association of India’s (NRAI) selection plan for the season. While the Asian Games squad was earmarked as Team A after selection trials, the Cairo World Cup was designated for Team B.
