Malegaon, Oct 30 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested Malegaon Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ravindra Jadhav, his personal assistant Nilesh Patil and accounts officer Harish Dimbar on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe linked to the clearance of construction work bills.
The action has triggered considerable discussion in Malegaon, particularly within the municipal corporation, as the commissioner was reportedly due to retire in just two days.
According to ACB officials, the case concerns alleged demands for a commission in connection with bills submitted for construction works carried out for the Malegaon Municipal Corporation. The alleged transaction involved an amount equivalent to four per cent of the relevant bills.

Acting on the complaint, the bureau took action against Commissioner Jadhav, his personal assistant Patil and accounts officer Dimbar, Tangade said, adding that further investigation was under way.
