PM Modi, Nadda should apologise for insulting statements of Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders: Sapkal

Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Harshvardhan Sapkal on Friday demanded that Prime Minister Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda should publicly apologise for the "insulting" statements by two Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders.
Speaking to the media at Tilak Bhavan here, Sapkal said that the glorious success of Operation Sindoor belongs to the Indian Army and the entire country is proud of this feat, but some stalwarts of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are deliberately making statements that insult the Indian Army.
After the absurd statement of a Madhya Pradesh minister, Vijay Shah, the statement made by Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda is an insult to the Indian Army, he said.
The state Congress president said that BJP Minister Vijay Shah's statement about Colonel Sofia Qureshi was irritating, and while anger is being expressed across the country, now another BJP leader has made a rash statement.
"The entire country, the country's army and soldiers bow down at the feet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi." This shameless statement has been made. This statement is a gross insult to the valor, culture and tradition of the Indian Army," he said.
The BJP has not yet taken action against Minister Shah. Why are Modi, Amit Shah and Nadda silent while BJP leaders are making absurd statements, he asked.
BJP is a ruthless and frivolous party, but the public will not tolerate this insult, he said, and demanded that a case of sedition be filed against both BJP Ministers Shah and Devda. He also said that "these perverts should be admitted to a mental hospital".
