Mah Zilla Parishad and Municipal Corporation members not receiving any funds, says Congress' Satej Patil

Kolhapur, Sep 24 (UNI) Congress group leader in the Legislative Council, MLA Satej Patil, today said that despite many months having elapsed since the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Corporation elections, the elected civic body members have not received any funds so far.
"Even after many months have passed since the Zilla Parishad and Municipal Corporation election, the members have not received a single rupee of funds," Satej Patil said.
He alleged that "only ten MLAs in the district are stealing the funds", and added that "members of the Mahayuti are regretting coming to power."

Kolhapur, Sep 28 (UNI) A man was killed on the spot while his wife was seriously injured when a speeding car hit their motorcycle, on the Vadgaon-Hatkanangale road at Vadgaon in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district today.
According to Vadgaon police, Deepak Ravsaheb Shinde, a resident of Miraj town in Sangli district, was returning home with his wife Aashadevi after meeting a relative when a speeding car rammed their bike after the car driver lost control on the wheel.
