Mumbai, June 30 (UNI) Former minister Ravindra Chavan today filed his nomination for the post of the Maharashtra president.
The nomination was filed at party headquarters here in presence of Union Minister Kiren Rijuju, who is the party's central observer.
Maharashtra Chief Minister and senior party leader, Devendra Fadnavis, said that a formal announcement will be made by Tuesday evening.
He also said that Chavan started his political journey as a youth wing worker before becoming a municipal corporator, an MLA, and later a minister.
