Maha: Nana Patole questions Centre over Modi-Xi meeting at BRICS Summit

Nagpur, Sep 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole today raised questions over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, alleging that the Centre was adopting a lenient stance towards China despite unresolved border concerns.
Addressing reporters here, he said India should use the BRICS Summit platform to firmly raise issues concerning China, including the alleged occupation of territories in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh, and demand their withdrawal.
Patole said citizens were seeking answers on the government's approach towards Beijing and whether New Delhi was compromising its position on issues relating to national security and territorial disputes.
