Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust announces Immersion Procession Schedule

Pune, Sep 24 (UNI) The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust has announced the schedule for its Ganpati immersion procession to be held on Anant Chaturdashi on Friday marking the conclusion of this year’s Ganesh festival.
The idol will be taken out from the Suvarna Ganesh after the traditional worship and will proceed in a chariot to the Tilak statue at Mandai. The immersion procession is scheduled to begin from Mandai, following the immersion of the five revered Ganpati idols.
The Anant Chaturdashi puja of the idol will be performed at Suvarna Ganesh Dham in the presence of Dr Bhavarth Dekhne, Chief Trustee of the Alandi Devasthan, and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone I, Krishikesh Rawale, along with their spouses.
As part of the traditional Ganesh festival rituals in Pune, the Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust will offer floral garlands to the five revered Ganpati idols at the Tilak statue. After their immersion, the trust’s immersion procession will begin from Mandai as per the schedule fixed by the police administration.
Trust festival head and trustee Punit Balan said efforts were being made to ensure that the immersion ceremony was conducted peacefully while maintaining Pune’s traditional Ganesh festival practices. He appealed to devotees to maintain discipline, cooperate with the administration and follow environmentally responsible practices while bidding farewell to the deity. UNI SP CDS
