Yashomati Thakur lodges police complaint over drone spotted near Amravati Home, capturing images

Amravati, Sep 28 (UNI) Congress leader and former Maharashtra minister Yashomati Thakur on Monday claimed that a drone was seen flying over her residence in Amravati and allegedly captured images, prompting her to lodge a complaint with the police.
Addressing mediapersons, Thakur said the incident appeared suspicious and raised concerns about her security.
She alleged that the drone hovered above her house between 1.45 pm and 2 pm.
According to Thakur, she was participating in a Congress protest during the afternoon when the incident occurred.
After returning home, her family informed her that a drone had been repeatedly circling the residence and taking photographs.
Questioning how an unidentified drone was allowed to operate over her property, the Congress leader expressed apprehension that the activity could be linked to surveillance or other malicious intentions.
“I am a Congress worker as well as a member of the Congress Working Committee(CWC). The circumstances are suspicious and I believe there may be a threat to my life. Therefore, I have brought the matter to the notice of the police,” she said.
Thakur stated that she had spoken to the Amravati Police Commissioner and subsequently submitted a complaint at Gadge Nagar police station, seeking an inquiry into the incident.
