S Korea voices ‘strong regret’ over Ukraine denial of POW confidentiality deal

Seoul, Sep 28 (UNI) South Korea expressed “strong regret” over Ukraine’s denial that the two countries had agreed to keep confidential under a "nondisclosure agreement concerning" the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war to South Korea, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The South Korean presidential office said Ukraine had disclosed the transfer without prior consultation and later denied the existence of a non-disclosure agreement.
“The presidential office expresses strong regret over Ukraine’s unilateral disclosure (of the transfer) and its subsequent false announcement that there had not been a non-disclosure agreement,” senior presidential secretary for public relations Seong Ghi-hong said in a statement.

Egypt warns Israeli Al-Aqsa incursions seek to alter status quo, impose ‘new reality’

Cairo, Oct 2 (UNI) Egypt has condemned the entry of hundreds of Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, warning that repeated incursions and religious rituals at the holy site were aimed at altering its established historical and legal status quo and creating a “new reality.”
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the incursions, accompanied by what it described as provocative acts and religious rituals in the mosque’s courtyards, constituted violations of the historical and legal arrangements governing Jerusalem’s holy sites.
