Iran warns US of ‘cost’ of military action, says energy markets may remain unsettled for 3 years

Tehran, Oct 22 (UNI) Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei has warned the United States that any military action against Tehran would come at a cost, saying Iran has not yet deployed all its capabilities and is prepared to intensify its response if the conflict continues.
“If diplomacy can create this understanding, we prefer diplomacy; but if the war continues, Iran has the necessary tools to continue responding,” Rezaei said on Thursday, according to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB.
Rezaei warned that a prolonged conflict could have far-reaching consequences for global energy markets, claiming that prices and supplies could remain unsettled for years.
