Judge orders White House to restore press access for CNN, MS NOW, Politico

Washington, Sep 24 (UNI) A US federal judge has ordered the White House to immediately restore press credentials for reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico, ruling that the Trump administration likely violated their constitutional due process rights by revoking their access without prior notice or an opportunity to be heard.
US District Judge Timothy Kelly issued the ruling early Thursday, hours after an emergency hearing on the news organisations' lawsuit. The order will remain in effect for two weeks.
Issuing a temporary restraining order early on Thursday, Judge Timothy J Kelly said CNN, MS NOW and Politico were likely to prevail in their legal challenge to Trump’s ban on several grounds, including that it violated their due process rights.
