Sri Lanka records over 80,000 tourist arrivals in May

Colombo, May 21 (UNI) Over 80,000 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka during the first 18 days of May, according to the latest data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
A total of 80,421 tourists visited the country during this period.
As of May 18, the total number of tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka for 2025 has reached 977,305, according to SLTDA data.
Tourism is one of Sri Lanka's main sources of foreign revenue. The country earned approximately 3.17 billion U.S. dollars from tourism in 2024.
