Saudi-led coalition steps up operations against Yemen's Houthis

Aden, Oct 10 (UNI) Saudi-led coalition forces have destroyed three Houthi rocket launch platforms as fighting intensifies along Yemen's western Red Sea coast and near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait,coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki said on Saturday.
“We destroyed 3 rocket launch platforms used by the Houthi militia to threaten regional security,” Al-Maliki said in a post on Friday, adding that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure would be met with resolve.
The operations highlight military coordination between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's internationally recognised government amid growing concerns over regional security and the safety of shipping through Bab al-Mandab, a key maritime chokepoint linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
