NMDC flags off Heritage Run 2025 in Hyderabad ahead of Marathon

Hyderabad, June 22 (UNI) In a vibrant display of fitness and community spirit, NMDC Limited., India’s leading iron ore producer, successfully organized the NMDC Heritage Run 2025 on Sunday in Hyderabad.

The event served as a curtain-raiser for the upcoming NMDC Hyderabad Marathon and drew participation from over 1,000 runners across three categories — 5K, 10K, and 21K.

The run not only promoted health and wellness but also underscored NMDC’s commitment to social impact. Several non-governmental organizations including Alokit, Blood Warriors, and Operation Eyesight took part in the event, leveraging the platform to raise awareness on issues like education equity, rare blood disorders, and preventable blindness.

NMDC officials, speaking at the event, emphasised that the Heritage Run goes beyond fitness. “This is more than just a warm-up for the marathon — it’s a celebration of Hyderabad’s vibrant heritage and an opportunity to champion meaningful social causes. We are proud to support the NGOs making real differences in people’s lives,” they said.

With the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon around the corner, the Heritage Run set the stage for what is expected to be one of the most awaited and impactful running events in the city, combining athletic spirit with community engagement.
