People trust Modi's leadership, BJP committed to Telangana's development: Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Sunday asserted that the people of India, and the world at large, have immense faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Addressing a press conference after a party meeting in Hyderabad, he highlighted the Modi government's achievements over the past 11 years and called on party workers to take this message to every household in Telangana.

Reddy praised Modi's "zero-tolerance" approach to corruption, claiming his government has remained free of scams throughout its tenure. In contrast, he accused the previous Congress-led UPA regime and regional parties like BRS of corruption and dynastic politics. He blamed both parties for pushing Telangana into a financial crisis, citing massive debts and alleged misuse of funds.

He noted that under Congress rule, 42,000 people, including civilians and soldiers, died in terror attacks, but under Modi, no major attacks occurred, and India responded with surgical and air strikes. “Pakistan’s ISI network was dismantled under Modi’s leadership,” he said, citing operations like the Pathankot response and Operation Sindoor.

Highlighting infrastructure progress, he pointed to the simultaneous modernisation of 40 railway stations in Telangana and over 1,300 across India.

He emphasised achievements such as the implementation of GST, the expansion of digital transactions, Make in India success in defence exports, and India’s shift from importing to exporting mobile phones.

On social welfare, Reddy mentioned 4 crore houses built under the Modi government, free food distribution, health care for the elderly, and empowerment of women through 33 percent reservation in legislatures. He also emphasised the government's commitment to BC rights and rural development.

Criticising both the BRS and Congress, he alleged centralised corruption under the former and decentralised graft under the latter. He said their unfulfilled promises, like the Congress’s "six guarantees," have disillusioned the public.

“These family and corrupt parties cannot save Telangana,” he said, urging BJP workers to unite under one flag and agenda for Vision 2047.

He also outlined upcoming initiatives such as Environment Day on June 5, and the 10th International Yoga Day on June 20, urging BJP leaders to organise related programs across the state.

Reaffirming BJP’s goal of forming a “double engine” government in Telangana, Kishan Reddy said the party is determined to bring Modi’s governance model to the state and emerge victorious in the upcoming assembly elections.
