Prime focus on management and treatment to deal with mosquito-borne diseases: Mangal

Patna, June 12 (UNI) Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that his Department was according special emphasis on management and treatment to deal with mosquito-borne diseases.
Pandey told news persons here on Thursday that the Health Department was committed to timely tracing and treating the diseases like dengue, chikungunya and malaria.
He said that the Health Department has already initiated an awareness drive towards Malaria infection and special focus was in the high risk zones.
The Minister said that the Education Department, local representatives, media persons and other stake holders have been involved in the drive. Emphasis was being laid on raising awareness through different means of publicity in high malaria endemic zones, border areas, scheduled and tribal areas, urban and semi-urban areas.
He said that the Health Department has instructed the district authorities to follow the guidelines issued regarding malaria.
