Ram Temple darshan: Advance booking extended to 90 days, daily online passes increased to 2,000

Ayodhya, Oct 19 (UNI) Devotees planning to visit the Ram Temple will no longer have to wait until the last minute for a pass as the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has made major changes to the online Sugam Darshan pass system.
Devotees can now apply for passes up to 90 days before the darshan date. The number of online passes for general devotees has also been increased from 975 to 2,000 per day.
According to officials the new system has provision for advance booking in seven stages and issuance of instant passes on the day of darshan. This will facilitate the devotees in making their travel, rail reservation and accommodation arrangements in advance.
Until now, Sugam Darshan passes were available a maximum of 15 days in advance. This period has been extended to 90 days under the new system. Instead of issuing passes all at once, they will be available in seven phases: 90, 62, 30, 14, seven, three, and one day in advance.
Additionally, Tatkal passes will be issued on the day of darshan. With passes available in different phases, devotees no longer have to rely on a specific timeframe for booking.
The Trust has also more than doubled the number of online passes. The number of passes available daily for general devotees has been increased from 975 to 2,000. The Trust will continue to review pilgrim demand, booking status, and darshan arrangements.
The new system also includes a verification-based system being developed to prevent misuse of online bookings.
Advance passes will not be immediately confirmed upon application. Technical verification will be conducted upon application, and a decision on pass issuance will generally be communicated within 24 to 48 hours.
Submission of an application will not be considered confirmation of a pass. This process will help identify unusual and suspicious booking activity. However, Tatkal passes issued on the day of darshan will be confirmed immediately, without the 24 to 48-hour waiting period.
The Trust has also clarified that Sugam Darshan passes are completely free. No one is required to pay any fee for them. Arrangements are being made to allow complaints to be lodged directly with the Trust in the event that fees are demanded or collected from devotees.
To this end, complaint information will be prominently displayed on each pass. According to the Trust, the mobile number issued for complaints, 8009522111, is set to be activated within the next week.
