Rana, Patel out of U19 tour; replacements named

Mumbai, June 16 (UNI) The Junior Cricket Committee of the BCCI on Monday announced two key changes to the India U19 squad for the upcoming tour of England, following injuries to Aditya Rana and Khilan Patel during the ongoing high-performance camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
Rana has been ruled out with a stress fracture in his lower back, while Patel sustained a stress reaction in his right leg, prompting the selection of D Deepesh and Naman Pushpak as their respective replacements. Both players were originally named in the standby list for the tour.
The updated India U19 squad for the tour is: Ayush Mhatre (Captain), Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra, Maulyarajsinh Chavda, Rahul Kumar, Abhigyan Kundu (Vice-Captain & WK), Harvansh Singh (WK), RS Ambrish, Kanishk Chouhan, Henil Patel, Yudhajit Guha, Pranav Raghavendra, Mohammed Enaan, Anmoljeet Singh, D Deepesh, Naman Pushpak.
The BCCI’s Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the changes in an official statement. The England tour is seen as a crucial stepping stone for the young cricketers in the build-up to future ICC tournaments.
