Reproductive health awareness programme to be taken up in schools: Mangal

Patna, May, 24 (UNI) Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that to improve the reproductive health of women and adolescent girls, awareness programmes will be taken up in 26 districts of the state, including two schools in the capital Patna.
Pandey said here on Saturday that emphasis was being laid on strengthening the reproductive health of women and adolescent girls, for which two days of cleanliness awareness programmes will be organised. Various awareness programmes will commence from May 28 in the state capital. Apart from this, such drives will be taken up in between May 26 and May 31 in the other 26 districts of the state, during which issues related to women and adolescent girls will be discussed in detail.
Outlining the importance of hygiene in women's life, he said that for this, awareness sessions will be organised in schools along with educational workshops and seminars, rallies, quiz competitions, poster competitions, debate competitions and prize distribution. Such campaigns will not only aware the students will also send a positive message to society.
