Respect party discipline while enjoying democratic freedom: Mallu Ravi

Hyderabad, June 1 (UNI) Congress MP and newly appointed Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, Mallu Ravi, emphasised the importance of maintaining discipline within the party while enjoying the democratic freedom it offers.
Speaking after assuming charge, Ravi remarked, “I have served as an MP three times, an MLA once, and as a special representative in Delhi twice, but being appointed as the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee gives me the greatest joy.”
He expressed gratitude to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge for entrusting him with the role and thanked senior party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy for their support.
“There is democratic freedom in the Congress party. Everyone is free to express their views within the party forums. But members must not engage in anti-party activities or cross the disciplinary boundaries,” Ravi cautioned, urging party members to maintain internal unity and respect the party's discipline.
Ravi later met AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud to personally convey his thanks for the appointment, an official statement said on Sunday night.
