Rohtak admin urges vehicle owners to register under Parivartan Scheme

Rohtak Oct 22 (UNI) The Rohtak administration has urged owners of identified old commercial vehicles to register under the Parivartan scheme and announced a November schedule for pensioners to submit their annual life certificates.
An official spokesman, quoting Deputy Commissioner Satbir Singh, said more than 30,000 vehicle owners across the National Capital Region (NCR) had registered under the scheme. In Rohtak, 922 identified vehicles had been registered, while owners of the remaining 3,378 vehicles were urged to enrol.
The Parivartan scheme encourages the replacement of older commercial trucks and buses with cleaner BS-VI or electric vehicles to curb air pollution. Eligible vehicle owners can avail themselves of benefits worth up to Rs 10 lakh, subject to prescribed eligibility criteria and conditions.
The benefits include motor vehicle tax concessions of up to 100 per cent, interest assistance of up to 5 per cent on vehicle loans and manufacturer discounts of up to 8 per cent. Eligible BS-VI diesel and CNG vehicles can also receive fuel-related support, while electric vehicles qualify for specified one-time incentives.
The spokesman said identified old BS-I, BS-II and BS-III commercial buses and trucks found operating on roads would face action under applicable provisions and be sent to authorised vehicle-scrapping facilities.
Owners of eligible BS-IV vehicles can sell them outside the NCR in accordance with prescribed conditions or opt for replacement under the scheme.
Vehicle owners have been advised to verify their eligibility and applicable benefits on the Parivartan portal before applying. Further information on registration, vehicle scrapping, replacement purchases and financing is available from the Regional Transport Authority office.
Separately, the spokesman said pensioners receiving Haryana government pensions through the Rohtak district treasury and its subordinate sub-treasuries must submit their annual life certificates during November to ensure uninterrupted payments.
Pensioners whose names begin with A to I can submit their certificates from November 2 to 12, those with names beginning with J to R from November 13 to 21, and those with names beginning with S to Z from November 23 to 30.
Pensioners can also submit digital life certificates from home through the Jeevan Pramaan application using AadhaarFaceRD for facial authentication, reducing the need to visit treasury offices.
Family pension recipients must additionally submit a non-marriage certificate to the Rohtak district treasury office. The spokesman urged pensioners to complete the required formalities within their allotted dates.UNI KK AAB
