Sahar Shaikh’s father apointed Kalwa-Mumbra Cable Sena President

Thane, Oct 15 ( UNI) Yunus Shaikh, father of AIMIM corporator Sahar Shaikh, has been appointed president of the Kalwa-Mumbra Cable Sena associated with the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
The appointment letter states that the decision was taken on Shinde's orders and with his blessings. However, Yunus Shaikh has denied joining the Shiv Sena, saying he has been associated with the cable and internet services business for several years and was given the position in that capacity.
The development comes amid controversy over Sahar Shaikh’s victory speech after she won from Ward 30 of the Thane Municipal Corporation.
Her remarks, including “Kaisa haraya” and a statement about turning Mumbra green, went viral on social media and drew criticism from leaders of the Mahayuti alliance, including the Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
Yunus Shaikh was earlier associated with NCP leader Jitendra Awhad. During the municipal elections, he reportedly sought a ticket for his daughter from the Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction. After she was denied a nomination, Sahar Shaikh contested on an AIMIM ticket and won.
