Samrat Choudhary conducts aerial survey of flood-hit areas

Patna, Sep 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Vaishali, Saran, East Champaran and Gopalganj districts and directed officials to intensify relief and rescue operations and maintain round-the-clock vigil in vulnerable areas.
Choudhary surveyed flood-affected areas of Vaishali and Saran, including Hajipur and Maker, besides areas around Dumariaghat bridge and Puchhariya in East Champaran and Gopalganj districts.
During his visit to Dumariaghat, the Chief Minister took stock of the rising water level of the Gandak river and reviewed the latest situation with officials. He was informed that the river's water level near Dumariaghat was around 1.5 metres above the danger mark and could rise by another 50 centimetres during the night.
