Mumbai, Apr 30 (UNI) The BSE Sensex remained positive for the third straight session on Wednesday, advancing 180 pts at 80,468.20 in opening session on strong global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 39.65 7pts at 24,375.60.
Buying in oil and gas, power, realty and technology stocks kept the rally intact.
The BSE Sensex registered intraday high at 80,439.10 and intra day low at 80,055.87 respectively.
The Nifty registered day's high at 24,375.60 and low at 24,268.80 pts.
The Mid cap moved up 0.35 pc while Small cap fell by 0.23 pc.
In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
The gainers were Powergrid by 1.83 pc to Rs 308.80, HDFC Bank by 1.37 pc to Rs 1934.30, Sun Pharma by 1.12 pc to Rs 1825.10 and NTPC by 0.85 pc to Rs 360.30.
The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 5.89 pc to Rs 1943.45, Bajaj Finance by 4.42 pc to Rs 8686.85, Tata Motors by 2.25 pc to Rs 650.65 and SBI by 1.35 pc to Rs 800.80.
US Market, European market and Asian Markets were seen strong.
