Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Friday, the last trading day of the week ended weak at 82,330.59, down 200.15 pts amid profit booking in Technology, IT and Bankex stocks despite positive global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 42.30 pts at 25,019.80.
Surging over 1200 pts on Thursday, the BSE Sensex opened negative at 82,392.63, declining 138 pts. Throughout the session it was seen under pressure, as it dropped 384 pts at 82,146.95, days low before closing at 82,330.59 pts, sliding 200.15 pts from its previous close.
Meanwhile, it was at 82,514.81, days high, marginally up 24 pts.
The Nifty registered days high at 25,070
and low at 24,953.05 pts.
Stocks include Technology, Health Care and Bankex kept the market low.
Technology slipped by 1.29 pc, Health Care by 0.29 pc and Bankex by 0.15 pc.
The Mid cap rose 0.85 pc and Small cap by 1.18 pc.
In 30 scrips, 14 advanced while 16 declined.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.76 pc to Rs 1815.30, HCL Technology by 2.03 pc to Rs 1661.70, SBI by 1.90 pc to Rs 792.35 and Infosys by 1.50 pc to Rs 1589.
The gainers were Eternal by 1.20 pc to Rs 245.30, Asian paints by 0.97 pc to Rs 2352.75, Hind Unilever by 0.89 pc to Rs 2376.15 and ITC by 0.80 pc to Rs 435.90.
US Market and European market were positive.
In Asian Market, Taiwan Weighted rose 0.52 pc, Kospi by 0.21 pc, Composite set by 0.11 pc and Jakarta Composite by 0.93 pc.
