Mumbai, May 21 (UNI) Snapping a losing streak of last three sessions, the BSE Sensex on Wednesday bounced back 410.19 pts to close at 81,596.63 following gains in Realty, Telecommunications and Industrials stocks despite weak global cues.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 129.55 pts at 24,813.45.
Slumping over 1300 pts in last three sessions, the BSE Sensex opened on a cautious note at 81,327.61, up 141 pts. It remained in green, and throughout the session it was zoomed 835 pts at 82,021.64, days high, before closing at 81,596.63, surging 410.19 pts from its last close.
It was registered days low at 81,237.06, rising 51 pts.
The Nifty registered days high at 24,946.20
and low at 24,685.35 pts.
In stocks, Capital Goods, Realty, Telecommunications and Industrials lifted the market.
Capital Goods rose by 1.65 pc, Realty by 1.58 pc, Industrials by 1.35 pc and Telecommunications by 1.24 pc.
The Mid cap gained 0.90 pc and Small cap by 0.51 pc.
In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.02 pc to Rs 2042.65, Tata Steel by 1.86 pc to Rs 161.60, Sun Pharma by 1.57 pc to Rs 1734.15 and Tech Mahindra by 1.39 pc to Rs 1597.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 1.87 pc to Rs 767.40, Kotak Bank by 0.77 pc to Rs 2072.80, Powergrid by 0.65 pc to Rs 296.05 and ITC by 0.55 pc to Rs 432.45.
US Market and European market remained negative.
However, Asian Market remained mixed trend.
