Sangli (Maharashtra), June 17 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale has said that Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) president Sharad Pawar should join with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the development of the country.
In a press conference at Jat rot Jat of this district, Athavale said that if Pawar had joined with the National Democratic Alliance led by PM Modi in 2014, then he would have become the president of the country.
Athavale said that Sharad Pawar had taken forward the name of Maharashtra in the country's politics with his contribution in development of the country as well as of the state.
He demanded that the Mahayuti should give seats to his Republican Party of India (RPI Athavale) in the coming local self-government elections as well as on state legislature council, otherwise his party would contest independently.
