Singareni employees urged to report irregularities, uphold integrity

Hyderabad, Oct 26 (UNI) Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Director (Projects and Planning) K. Venkateswarlu on Monday urged employees to report irregularities and work with the Vigilance Department to curb corruption and promote transparency in the organisation.
Inaugurating Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 at Singareni Bhavan here, he said employees should discharge their duties with honesty and integrity and bring any irregularities they noticed in the system to the attention of the authorities.
He said misconceptions about vigilance continued to persist among some people and stressed the need to recognise vigilance activities as an integral part of the governance system.
Honest employees need not fear vigilance, he added.
Commending SCCL employees for their commitment and dedication, Venkateswarlu said their sincere efforts had helped the company overcome financial difficulties.
He described SCCL as one of the country's most transparent public sector organisations and called upon employees to work collectively to protect its reputation.
Director (E&M) M. Tirumala Rao, Executive Director (STPP) Chiranjeevi, General Manager (Personnel and Welfare) Ajay Kumar, General Manager (Power Projects) Guruprasad and employees and officers from various departments attended the programme.
