Sneha Khanwalkar composes & sings title track for Richa Chadha's 'Musafiri'

Mumbai, Nov 3 (UNI) Composer and singer Sneha Khanwalkar has created the title track for actor-producer Richa Chadha's upcoming non-fiction series Musafiri, which explores India's lesser-known places, cultures and traditions.
Khanwalkar has not only composed the music but has also lent her voice to the song.
The title track of the series, which brings to light the diverse cultures, traditions and untold stories of India, expresses the beauty of the country and the curiosity to explore its different places through music.
Khanwalkar, known for her music in "Gangs of Wasseypur" and unique music shows like "The Sound Trippin'," has beautifully captured the spirit of travel, curiosity, and the discovery of new places in this song. This song goes beyond just tourist destinations and introduces us to India's diversity and untold stories.
Chadha said that Sneha is a good friend and has the unique ability to put thousands of Indian stories to music. She loves the melody of this song, which has a touch of curiosity, mischief, and at times, a lullaby-like sweetness.
The 39-year-old actress revealed that her first film, "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" was also Sneha's first film. Her first film as a producer, "Girls Will Be Girls," also featured Sneha in a song, and now she's working on her first series. Richa described Sneha as her lucky charm.
Khanwalkar said that Chadha has a unique and strong perspective. She has applied her journalism studies and understanding to create an engaging program like "Musafiri." The show introduces viewers to places and cultures that are often little known.
The singer-composer explained that at Chadha's request, she first composed and sent a simple musical score, using words and melodies that had no specific meaning. Chadha later wrote the lyrics, which she recorded in her own voice. She described working with Richa as always a pleasure.
