Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) To accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the summer season, South Central Railway has announced the operation of 44 weekly summer special trains between key destinations such as Visakhapatnam, SMVT Bengaluru, Tirupati, and Cherlapally.
A total of 10 special services will run between Visakhapatnam and SMVT Bengaluru (Train Nos. 08581/08582) from June 1 to June 30, every Sunday and Monday, respectively. These trains will halt at major stations including Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, and Renigunta.
Another 18 services will connect Visakhapatnam and Tirupati (Train Nos. 08547/08548) weekly from June 4 to July 31, stopping at key stations such as Gudivada, Ongole, and Srikalahasti.
Additionally, 16 special trains will run between Visakhapatnam and Charlapalli (Train Nos. 08579/08580) from June 6 to July 26, halting at important junctions including Guntur, Nadikude, and Nalgonda.
All special trains will be equipped with 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches to cater to various passenger needs, a South Central Railway (SCR) statement said on Friday.
The South Central Railway is spread across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka.
