Vijayawada, Oct 21 (UNI) Retired IPS officer A B Venkateswara Rao who is contesting the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Mayoral post as an independent candidate, assured he would ensure the city''s development if elected. Addressing a ''Meet the Press'' programme at the press club here on Wednesday, he promised to give priority to ensuring a 24-hour drinking water supply, improving sanitation facilities, constructing better roads, and addressing property tax and traffic-related issues.
