Tridib BaparnashNew Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) The women’s cricket team opened India’s gold medal account at the Asian Games 2026 on Tuesday, with Harmanpreet Kaur-led defending champions outclassing Sri Lanka by 147 runs in the final at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. The day also saw the men’s badminton team blank hosts Japan 3-0 to secure a medal, while two-time Asian Games medallist Naorem Roshibina Devi assured herself of a third consecutive medal by advancing to the women’s 60kg wushu semifinals.
