Shillong, Sep 29 (UNI) Meghalaya Cabinet Minister and BJP leader Sanbor Shullai on Tuesday asserted that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is vital to prevent illegal immigrants from obtaining voting rights. Accusing the Congress of ‘spreading lies’ to derail the ongoing SIR process, Shullai said that the Joint Press Note has conclusively proved that Congress and its I.N.D.I. alliance partners have been manufacturing lies to mislead the people of the country to create panic, sensationalism, and deceit.
