Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Congress MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna today called for greater transparency in the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and stronger safeguards for voters'' rights, stressing the need to protect democracy and constitutional values.
