By Shahid K AbbasNew Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) The INDIA bloc on Monday took its campaign against alleged electoral manipulation to the Supreme Court, with Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders filing a writ petition seeking an independent investigation into alleged irregularities in electoral rolls, suspension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and a return to paper ballots.
New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) In a fresh escalation of the Opposition’s confrontation with the Election Commission of India (ECI), the INDIA bloc on Monday marched towards the Supreme Court, with Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi leading a show of defiance through the heavily barricaded streets of central Delhi and reiterating demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, suspension of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and a return to ballot papers in place of electronic voting machines (EVMs).

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Leaders and MPs of the opposition INDIA bloc on Thursday took their escalating campaign against the Election Commission of India to Raj Ghat, paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi before staging a peaceful sit-in demanding the resignation and removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and protesting what they alleged were large-scale irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls.
