Telangana CM pays tribute to PV Narasimha Rao

Hyderabad, June 27 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna P V Narasimha Rao (PVNR) on his birth anniversary on June 28, recalling his monumental contributions to the nation's progress.
Remembering him as a multilingual scholar, visionary leader, and the architect of India’s economic liberalisation, the Chief Minister said in a statement on Friday that PV’s revolutionary reforms laid the foundation for India’s current journey towards becoming a USD 5 trillion economy.
Revanth Reddy lauded the former Prime Minister for introducing transformative economic policies that impacted every sector and set India firmly on the path of development. He also highlighted PV’s pioneering role in the education sector, noting that institutions like Navodaya Vidyalayas were established during his tenure, bringing quality education to rural areas.
Referring to PV's earlier role as Education Minister in the united Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister recalled the establishment of the Sarvel Residential School as the first step towards Gurukul education. Inspired by PV’s vision, he said the current government is committed to revamping the education system in Telangana.
He reiterated his government’s focus on providing quality, free education to students from all sections of society. As part of this vision, the state is working to build Young India Integrated Residential Schools with international standards in every constituency, while simultaneously strengthening infrastructure in existing Gurukul institutions.
The Chief Minister stated that PV Narasimha Rao’s enduring legacy continues to guide the government’s mission for inclusive growth and educational empowerment in Telangana.
