Telangana Govt announces Police Service Medals on Formation Day

Hyderabad, Jun 1 (UNI) To mark Telangana Formation Day on June 2, the state government on Sunday announced the presentation of Police Service Medals across various Departments.

Special Chief Secretary of the Home Department, Ravigupta, issued the orders in this regard.

A total of nine personnel from the elite Greyhounds unit have been awarded the Gallantry Medal for their exemplary bravery. Additionally, 16 officials were honoured with the Mahonnatha Seva Medal, 92 received the Uttam Seva Medal, 47 were conferred with the Harsh Seva Medal, and 461 were presented with the Seva Medal in the Police Department.

In the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), one officer received the Mahonnatha Seva Medal, four were awarded the Okka Seva Medal, and 17 were given the Seva Medal.

The Vigilance and Enforcement Department saw one recipient of the Uttam Seva Medal and five recipients of the Seva Medal. In the Disaster Response and Fire Services Department, two personnel were awarded the Gallantry Medal, one received the Mahonnatha Seva Medal, three were honoured with the Uttam Seva Medal, and 14 with the Seva Medal.

The Special Protection Force (SPF) had one awardee for Distinguished Service, three for Best Service, and 15 recipients of the Seva Medal.
