Telangana: Housewife’s death gives new life to three Individuals in Kurnool

Kurnool, Apr 27 (UNI) In an inspiring act of humanity, the family of a housewife, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, donated her organs, giving new life to three individuals.
Their courageous decision, made in the face of immense personal grief, has become a beacon of hope for many.
Kattike Narsibai (55), a resident of Bonkuru village in Gadwal district, Telangana, suffered a sudden and severe headache on April 25 and collapsed at home, KIMS Hospitals said in a release here on Sunday.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she fell into a coma. For advanced treatment, she was later shifted to KIMS Hospital in Kurnool.
After conducting thorough examinations, doctors at KIMS diagnosed a critical hemorrhage on the right side of her brain.
Despite their relentless efforts to save her, she was declared brain dead on Saturday.
Following this, Dr. Rambabu and his team from AP Jeevandan, along with organ donation coordinators at KIMS Hospital, sensitised Narsibai’s family members about the significance of organ donation.
With the wholehearted consent of her husband, son, and other family members, her liver and both kidneys were donated, offering a second chance at life to three critically ill patients.
The donated organs were swiftly transported to the recipients through a specially arranged Green Channel, with the cooperation of AP Jeevandan, Dr. Rambabu’s team, and the Kurnool district police department.
AP Jeevandan committee members appreciated the family’s noble gesture, emphasising that such acts of compassion have the power to transform lives and inspire communities.
