Telangana: Shabbir Ali slams Modi over ‘failed product’ remark against Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad, Oct 23 (UNI) Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Friday strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for describing Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi as a “failed product”, accusing him of resorting to personal attacks instead of addressing questions on governance, unemployment, economic distress and electoral integrity.
In a statement, Shabbir Ali said Rahul Gandhi was raising concerns over voting rights, electoral irregularities and democratic institutions.
He defended the contributions and sacrifices of the Nehru-Gandhi family and alleged that Modi was attempting to divert public attention from pressing issues by targeting the Congress leadership.
He also questioned Modi’s remarks on political legacy, citing the sidelining of senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi after 2014.
Referring to the controversy surrounding photographs of union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri with Jeffrey Epstein, Shabbir Ali said allegations and associations must be assessed on facts and evidence, and nobody should be presumed guilty merely because of a photograph.
The Congress leader challenged the Prime Minister to respond directly to Rahul Gandhi’s questions on voters’ rights, jobs and the economy, asserting that personal criticism could not substitute for answers on governance.
